Post logs class debrief

May 1, 2025

Yesterday was the last day of the 3-day "Fundamentals of Logs Analysis" class I had been teaching. Phew!

When Chris Chapman pitched me the idea of writing a class around logs analysis, I had known it would have been a ton of work and prep to do it since I had never given a talk for more than 30 minutes or taught any sort of class for anything before. But since it was a rare opportunity, my past self decided that my future self would be happy once all the work was done. I can now say that, yes, now that all the work is done, I'm happy that I did it.

The class went well! Better than I expected thanks to all the attendees asking interesting questions and having good conversations. So anyways, this month's first supporter post will be a bit of a debrief on the class itself, and what I think I want to do with the course materials in the future in terms of adapting them to other forms.
